JONATHAN KARP (Book/Lyrics) is Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of TWELVE, a new imprint of the Hachette Book Group set to launch April 2007. In sixteen years at Random House, he acquired and edited
Seabiscuit, Shadow Divers, Thank You for Smoking, The Orchid
Thief, The Dante Club, What Should I Do With My Life? and four bestsellers by John McCain and Mark Salter, plus books by Alan Alda, Henry Alford, Steven Bochco, Charles Grodin, Gary Hart, Rupert Holmes, David Liss, Jon Meacham, Kenneth Pollack, Mario Puzo, Ron Rosenbaum, Jonathan Schwartz, Sally Bedell Smith, Donna Summer, Andrew Tobias, Donald Trump and Paul Wellstone. With composer Seth Weinstein, he created the musical
Heart Throb and the quasi-hit song "I Just Slept with Hillary Rodham
Clinton." He has written for The American Scholar, GQ and The Washington
Post.
SETH WEINSTEIN (Composer/Musical Director) has been the musical director of many musicals and cabaret shows, including regional productions of
Titanic, Fiddler on the Roof, Side Show, Rags, Guys and
Dolls, and the new musicals Plane Crazy and Tusk. International tour:
Fosse starring Ben Vereen. In addition to collaborations with Karp, he has co-authored adaptations of
Thackeray's Vanity Fair and Lloyd Alexander's The Remarkable Journey of Prince Jen and is currently composing a commissioned piano suite inspired by the paintings of Marc Chagall.
Weinstein is a graduate of Harvard University, where he studied orchestral and choral
conducting and composed a musical based on Judith Guest's novel Ordinary
People.
CHRISTOPHER GATTELLI (Director/Choreographer) most recently choreographed
Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me and is choreographer for the upcoming productions of
High Fidelity and Sunday in the Park with George. Other credits include choreography for the Off-Broadway hit
Altar Boyz (Lortel Award) and Bat Boy: The Musical (Lortel Award). Gattelli directed and choreographed
Silence! The Musical!, which was awarded overall excellence for best musical at the New York International Fringe Festival in 2005.
